On Vine Street in OTR sits a landmark deeply rooted in our brand’s heritage: the historic Kauffman Brewery. For a time, it was home to Tia a Hillman product director. It was in the Kauffman Brewery building where she crafted the vision for the OTR collection.
It’s no surprise a place like that sparked something. Built in the late 1800s and once one of Cincinnati’s largest breweries, the Kauffman building carried the grit and optimism of a city shaped by makers. When the brewery closed in 1919, its tunnels were sealed and paved over, quietly disappearing beneath the street. Nearly a century later, they were rediscovered and the legacy was revived.
The Kauffman Heritage Pocket Knife carries that moment forward on our standard OTR titanium pocket knife, finished with artwork inspired by the building’s original scrollwork, brewing motifs, brick façade details, and 1800s linework.
This piece is a continuation, carrying the spirit of the place forward.
